I used some software called Adobe Premier Pro to edit my film. I only needed to edit it in a very basic way as no special effects were needed. The other half of my video clip would not convert to the format and had malfunctioned so i therefore had to just use the first half. What I had filmed in the last half is the end of the conversation and the man leaving the building after placing the bomb into a plastic bag. There was a close up of this to create a casual effect as it was just an ordinary bag, it also showed where he was putting it so that the audience remember.
Music was not used as it would drown out the dialogue spoken by the two characters. As always the 180degree rule was taken into acount when filming. Many of the shots were difficult to do as it was in such a confined area, this reduced what shots at could do from which angles.

Evaluation
The blonde haired character walks towards the door as so to open it. A close up is then shot of the door handle and her hand reaching down and pulling the door open. This puts more emphysis on the door opening and therefore makes the audience believe that it is important.
This leads into a match on action/point of view shot from the outside in which the person sees the girl opening the door. This type of shot helps to show the audience what both characters see.
As the man walks inside to the end of the room a slow zoom is used to follow him inside. As dialogue starts shot reverse-shot takes place frequently so the audience can feel what the conversation would be like from each side and to show who was in the conversation. The 180 degree rule was obayed so that no confusion occured about the positioning of the characters.
A briefcase is checked by the girl and then a close up is taken of her placing it on the floor. More close ups can be seen when she is explaning how the bomb detonates, a close up of the remote and and manual detonators are taken, this is to show what they look like and how they work. The bomb is also seen when the image of the manual detonator was taken.

What I am going to do !!!!
My film will start with an outside motion sensored light turning on however it seems tha no-one is there. Someone will walk to the window, a point of view shot will then be used to show the character looking through it to see what is going on. As they move away another character sneaks around to the front door and starts walking upstairs towards a room. A match on action shot is used as the door is opened. There is another character inside and they both start talking, this is where I will use the shot-reverse shots. The man inside the room will have a breifcase which contains explosives, the two characters then quickly put on some extra clothing to discuise themselves. They start to exit and the film then ends at this point. Relevent music may bee added and special effects however this will be decided at a later point.
Target Audience
In making a film or any other media text the target audience needs to be established for the making process to begin. Factors such as age, gendre and socio-economic groups effect who the viewer might be. For my film I am aiming it towards males between the age of 15 and 23. The socio-economic groups are less of a factor in a film as there is a wider range of audience and the gap between these seems less so I am aiming it equally towards ABC1 C2DE. The reasoning behing the target audience that I chose is that it is an action film with bombs and explosives in.
How Will I make the Film
Firstly i researched different audiences that i would like the film to appeal to and what I would like to get and achieve from the film. I will record many different clips for the film with the help of a few people to either star in the film or do some camera work. Once all of my clips are successfully filmed I will use some editing software called iMovie. This will enable me to get the film to link in properly and let me add music or sound effects to the film. Simple special effects can also be produced using this program.
Things I would need to think about:
1)What camera angles would be most effective in a specific part of the film
2)Who would my target audience be and what genre would the film be under
3)What length should I make the film
4)What should the film be about
5)Who would star in the film and who would be the camera man.

Different Types of Camera Shots

In the film project that I am doing many different camera angles will need to be used such as shot reverse shot and match on action shots. Both these shots will abide with the 180 degree rule. Match on action occurs when two seperate shots are taken. The actor/actress will do something for example start opening a door, then the next shot will be of the same thing but from a different angle.
180 degree rule is when a shot reverse-shot is taking place the camera can only be positions in a certain 180 degrees of the characters otherwise they are shown to be the other way round which causes confusion in the audience.
Shot reverse-shot is mainly used in conversation situations. The camera will do a medium close-up of the one character then will turn and do the same to the other character then revert back again. This helps the audience understand who the characters are talking to.
There are many different types of shot used to give different effects. An extreme shot helps to show the scale factor between something e.g. a person and a mountain. Long shot shows the characters whole body and a bit of scenery. Mid shot (medium shot)shows about 2/3rds of the character and a bit less scenery. Medium close-up shows about 1/3rd of the character and is normally used in conversation. Close up i just of the face and is used to show facial expression where as extreme close up shows a specific thing in detail and often uses match on action with it for example somebody pulling the trigger of a gun, the camera would be on the trigger.
